| Cyclone Larry |
Cyclone Larry was upgraded to a category 5 this morning as gusts of up at 290km per hour ripped through innisfail. (Katrina was a cat4)
In the lead up to the cyclone hitting this morning warnings included evacuation.
For those who decided to sit out the storm, local pubs were offering 2 for 1 beer during the eye of the storm and local bottle shops were having 'cyclone' sales.

well, i'm glad i'm in sydney.
often catagories drop before they reach the coastline. Katrina was a catagory 5 before it hit US.
