What I learned today |
- It takes 3 kettles worth of hot water to fill the kitchen sink
- When it is 10deg outside - it is not possible to have a cold shower without becoming a human icicle
- Hair that is not washed by 11am adopts its own persona - visually approximating a birds nest after chicks have hatched
- Not being able to shower makes me very grumpy >:-|
- Possibly the sweetest words are - the plumber is running early - can he come now instead of later this afternoon?

At 10 deg (50 deg F) at least you are not perspiring profusely. We have been at 100 deg F (37.78 deg C) for about a week or so.
You mean that there are plumbers who will not only come early, but call first? Now that is sweet.
Hope the plumbing is fixed now and you can get a proper shampoo. I hate bird nest hair, too.

Wow, what a bunch of random, unrelated thoughts.
BTW, it's bleeping hot on the civilized side of the planet. :p

I've been there, done that. Very frustrating. I took cold showers, but I had to heat water for my son's baths because our gas wasn't working.
